Report 0001 Of Motor Vehicle Accident

Recently, the resolution of a lawsuit over a motor vehicle accident was made public. The report indicated that the accident happened back in March, 2007. Injured in the accident were 2 women who had been walking down the street. They were hit by a drunk driver. The driver was a man who had been drinking at a bar prior to the accident. The available answer was that he had about 8 drinks prior to leaving the bar and to then getting behind the wheel of the vehicle. Witnesses were able to give the police enough information for them to located and then arrest him. The driver denied having hit the two pedestrians and instead held that he had just run into a garbage can. Yet, he did eventually plead out and was incarcerated for three months. One of the pedestrian victims suffered serious injuries. She needs to use a wheelchair get around and to use a computer to speak - both due to the injuries from the accident. Her lawsuit was recently reported as settled for $1,100,000
