Report 0002 Of Motor Vehicle Accident

A report was recently published describing a motor vehicle accident involving another hit-and-run. The accident happened at about 6:45 pm and involved a speeding SUV that hit the curb and slammed into a 13 year old boy who was riding his scooter on the sidewalk while with some friends. Instead of stopping and offering help, the driver fled the scene of the accident. The police responded to the call and found the boy lying in the road. The boy was transported to a medical center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Witnesses provided a description of the SUV and the police have identified a "person of interest" and indicated that charges would soon be filed.
